The U.S. has a pay-as-you-go income tax system. The IRS and your state’s department of revenue want a quarterly payment from you. Here are the due dates:

April 15, 2019 – In April, you’ll pay quarterly estimated taxes on the income you made in January, February, and March of 2019 plus your income tax for 2018 tax year.

June 17, 2019 – In June, you’ll pay quarterly estimated taxes on the income you made in April and May of 2019.

September 17, 2019 – In September, you’ll pay quarterly estimated taxes on the income you made in June, July, and August of 2019.

January 15, 2020 – In January, you’ll pay quarterly estimated taxes on the income you made in September, October, November, and December of 2019.
